Hahn Loeser Expands Litigation Practice in Cleveland with Addition Matthew J. Ambrose

Hahn Loeser & Parks LLP is pleased to announce Phil Eckenrode has re-joined the firm as Of Counsel and Matthew J. Ambrose has joined the firm as an Associate. Both have joined the firm’s Litigation Practice Area and will be practicing out of its Cleveland office.

Eckenrode primarily represents clients in business litigation matters, including complex commercial transactions, non-compete, non-solicitation, and trade secret litigation, fraud and the enforcement of creditor’s rights. Additionally, he advises clients on employment-related issues. Eckenrode was previously an associate with Hahn Loeser from 2008 to 2015, when he left to become general counsel for a global manufacturing company headquartered in Cleveland. In his new role, he will continue to serve the company as outside general counsel.

Eckenrode received his B.A. cum laude, in Political Science from Kent State University. He received his J.D. from The Ohio State University, Mortiz College of Law, where he was a member of the Employment Law Moot Court Team. Eckenrode is a Member of the Board of Education of Olmsted Falls City School District and is the Chair of the Northern Ohio Regional Advisory Board for Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.

Ambrose will focus his legal practice on complex commercial litigation disputes. His experience spans both state and federal court, including actions involving breach of contract, product liability, commercial leases, and class actions. Ambrose is currently a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association 3R’s Education Program and the Hispanic National Bar Association.

Prior to joining Hahn Loeser, Ambrose was an associate with Porter Wright Morris & Arthur LLP. He received his B.A. from John Carroll University and his J.D. cum laude from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, where he received a CALI Excellence for Future Award in Secured Transactions and was a member of the Hispanic Law Student Association.
