About Hahn Loeser.
People. Passion. Performance. These are the key elements that have made up the DNA of Hahn Loeser since our earliest beginnings over 100 years ago.
Our People.
At Hahn Loeser, our people are our foundation. We have built a team of highly skilled attorneys and staff members across the United States who offer our clients creative business solutions and a collaborative approach that distinguishes us from other law firms. When it comes to our employees, we don’t compromise. Our edge has come from focusing on the people we serve and the people who serve them. The varied backgrounds of the attorneys at Hahn Loeser are representative of the firm’s long-standing tradition of diversity. This diversity has fueled the development of a wide-ranging practice and enables Hahn Loeser to maintain the strong relationships we’ve cultivated over many years with different segments of our communities. At Hahn Loeser, we want to understand your business and personal goals so we can help you achieve your objectives based on your individual business needs.
Hahn Loeser’s client-centered approach is possible because we have built a team of highly skilled attorneys and staff members across the country who work together across practice disciplines and office locations to find creative solutions to client problems.
With more than 140 attorneys, we have a national presence and have grown to six offices in strategic locations around the country, including Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio; Naples and Fort Myers, Florida; San Diego, California; and Chicago, Illinois. Founded in 1920, Hahn Loeser is now one of the 500 largest law firms in the United States, as determined by The National Law Journal. We are large enough to handle complex litigation and transactions, yet small enough to offer our clients highly personalized service.
PASSION.
At Hahn Loeser, we have developed a culture of excellence in a wide breadth of practices and industries and our biggest passion is for our clients and helping them achieve their goals. We look at issues through the eyes of our clients, always keeping their priorities at the forefront.
Our clients are successful businesses, institutions and individuals who expect and appreciate attention and results. All too frequently, lawyers tell clients what cannot be done. At Hahn Loeser, we start from the opposite premise. We help clients achieve their business and personal objectives quickly and efficiently. Our team takes the time to learn the complexities of our clients’ operations, their goals and aspirations, and their future needs.
We think this is the kind of value that clients should expect from their professional service providers, and we believe it’s why we have established so many long-standing client relationships – some dating back decades.
We are passionate about the work we do for our clients, each and every day. We aim to strike a balance between an entrepreneurial and a team-based approach; a strategic perspective that offers true value; extremely responsive service alongside a flawless work product; and, importantly, proven intelligence alongside humility.
PERFORMANCE.
We strive for results and client service that defy expectations. Hahn Loeser has been recognized four times as a “Go-To Law Firm” for the Top 500 Companies in the United States by American Lawyer Media (ALM) in the categories of commercial litigation and intellectual property. The recognition is based on surveys of in-house counsel at some of the largest companies in the country.
For 17 consecutive years, Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business has ranked the firm or one of its attorneys in one or more of the following practice areas:
- Commercial Litigation
- Corporate/M&A
- Commercial Services/Restructuring
- Construction
- Intellectual Property
- Labor & Employment
Our attorneys provide expert advice in almost every major area of law, and our work extends far beyond the borders of the United States. Our recent international work has focused on Western Europe (Germany and the United Kingdom), the Pacific Rim (China, Japan and South Korea) and Latin America (Mexico, Brazil and Argentina). We go where our clients need us to go, and we provide flexible fee arrangements that help our clients control costs and achieve their objectives.
We’ve learned to deliver value in everything that we do, but we know that value should never come at the expense of real strategy. The key is balance. Hahn Loeser helps clients find creative solutions to their business and legal challenges without giving up on zealous advocacy to defend their rights. It’s what we like to think of as balance without compromise.
Diversity and the Women’s Leadership Initiative
Hahn Loeser & Parks LLP promotes its founding values of diversity, equity, and inclusion by recruiting, retaining, and empowering all of its professionals. We are strongly committed to and proud of the rich diversity of our legal and support staff. The diversity of HLP professionals—in race, religion, national origin, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity and expression, age, veteran status, and work experience—confer vital benefits to our firm culture and operations. HLP strives to foster an inclusive culture that encourages our talented and diverse attorneys to bring their whole selves to work, advance, and thrive.
Promoting diversity and equality is not only a socially responsible initiative at HLP, but a strategic and vital business initiative that drives innovation and success. When multifaceted teams approach legal issues with a breadth of backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences, we are able to provide authentic, innovative, and comprehensive solutions to our clients.
In September of 2021, Hahn Loeser began its participation in Diversity Lab’s Midsize Mansfield Rule certification program, designed to boost diversity, equity and inclusion in leadership through hiring, promotion and transition activities.

INCLUSION OVER ISOLATION
As Hahn Loeser’s 100th anniversary coincides with this once-in-a-century crisis, we are taking time to reflect on our diverse history and encourage inclusivity. Understanding we are all in this together and knowing our approach is not the only approach, Hahn Loeser sought out perspectives from industry leaders to learn how their organizations are adapting during the pandemic and start a community discussion on the importance of remaining intentionally inclusive during this time of isolation.
In this video, Stan Gorom, HLP managing partner and CEO, Kevin Clayton, Vice President of Diversity, Inclusion & Community Engagement for the Cleveland Cavaliers, and Elizabeth Hensen, Assistant General Counsel at Exelon share their insights and encourage all of us to embrace the “new normal” by seeing people in their full light, building authentic relationships, and remaining inclusive.
Hahn Loeser is working to ensure that our founding principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion remain our guiding principles for the next 100 years.
