Julian Veintimilla focuses his practice on commercial disputes, regulatory enforcement actions, and investigations. Within his litigation practice, Julian has experience in the environmental realm assisting clients facing potential liability under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). Julian also has experience assisting clients in the chemical manufacturing and transportations sectors dealing with issues ranging from contract disputes to tort liability.
In Julian’s investigations experience, he’s represented clients in federal and state investigations as well as before regulatory enforcement proceedings, providing defense to clients in various industries such as financial services, aviation, and manufacturing. Julian has represented clients in investigations before the Department of Justice (DOJ), Congress, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC), the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), and various state attorneys general.
Along with law firm experience, Julian served as the primary law clerk for U.S. District Court Judge Dan A. Polster of the Northern District of Ohio, assisting with overseeing the National Prescription Opiate Litigation, a multidistrict litigation encompassing over 3,000 opioid-related lawsuits across the U.S. involving various parties such as drug manufacturers, distributors, and national pharmacy chains.
Committed to helping those in need, Julian maintains an active pro bono practice, assisting clients in matters ranging from asylum applications and prisoners’ rights litigation to estate planning.
