Hahn Loeser & Parks LLP is pleased to announce the addition of J. Thomas Nocar, who joined the Columbus office as a partner in the Firm’s Litigation and Construction Practice Areas. A co-chair of his previous firm’s construction practice, Nocar spent 26 years as both a builder and construction company owner prior to practicing law.
“Tom brings valuable hands-on experiences and perspectives to support our litigation and construction teams,” remarked Litigation Practice Co-Chair and Construction Practice Chair Rob Remington. “His skill set provides a strong understanding of all sides of construction disputes and we’re thrilled to have him join our growing team in Columbus.”
Admitted to practice in the state of Ohio and both Ohio’s Northern and Southern Districts of U.S. District Court, Nocar represents construction and real estate clients in transactional needs and dispute resolution. He has been selected to Ohio Super Lawyers Rising Stars in six consecutive years.
Nocar is a trained arbitrator and a member of the American Arbitration Association (AAA) Panel of Construction Arbitrators. He is also a member of the Columbus and Ohio State Bar Associations and the U.S. Green Building Council.
Nocar earned his J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law where he earned a CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Pretrial Litigation. While working as a construction manager, he earned a B.S. from Ohio State’s Fisher College of Business, graduating cum laude.
