Naples – Mid-Level Trusts and Estates Associate

Hahn Loeser seeks an experienced attorney with 4-7 years of demonstrated and focused trusts and estates experience to join its exceptional Trusts & Estates group in the Naples office.  Our widely recognized team is known for handling complex estate plans, trust and estate administrations, and business succession plans customized to meet the needs of our clients across the U.S.  Experience in estate planning document drafting as well as preparing, drafting, and reviewing estate tax returns, gift tax returns, and trust income tax returns is preferred.  An LL.M. in Taxation is strongly preferred, but the lack of an LL.M. can be substituted with the right depth of experience. 

This attorney will work as part of a team of senior and junior attorneys in estate planning, tax planning, and probate and trust administration matters, and should be comfortable with working with attorneys and paralegals across offices when needed.  The ideal attorney will have excellent research (including tax research) and writing skills, demonstrated experience working with complex, high-net worth clients, and a commitment to client service.  The attorney must have excellent technical skills in estate and trust planning, strong communication skills, and a high level of initiative and attention to detail.  Relocation assistance is available.  Florida Bar admission is required (no exceptions).

Senior Project Manager – Construction Services (OH, FL, IL – see specific cities below)

Hahn Loeser seeks a Senior Project Manager for our Construction Services team.  This position serves as a construction and technical advisor within our nationally ranked Construction Law Group.   Our firm is expanding our specialized Construction Services team of non-lawyer industry professionals experienced in construction project management, including scheduling, cost control, and claims management.  These professionals work closely with the firm’s construction lawyers and clients to analyze project schedule and cost impacts, assess contract requirements and project documentation, implement enhanced recordkeeping strategies to manage claims, and avoid or minimize the risk of potential claims. 

This position can be based in Cleveland, Columbus, Chicago, Tampa, or Southwest Florida.  Annual salary is commensurate with professional experience.  Occasional travel may be required.

Hahn Loeser’s Construction Law Group represents a wide range of construction-related clients throughout the United States. The work performed by our team involves some of the most complex projects and intricate legal issues in the industry.  Our clients have included contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, sureties, owners, developers, and design professionals.

Qualifications

  • 8-12 years of construction project management experience, including managing contracts and subcontracts, change orders, and the requisite documentation for all project phases from preconstruction, construction, and closeout
  • Expertise in estimating, cost analysis, scheduling and schedule management is essential
  • Specific experience with time impact analysis and claims avoidance, management, and resolution is a plus
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Candidates with the following certifications are preferred, but not required:  PMP/Project Management Professional or PE/Professional Engineer

  • Strong analytical, writing, and collaborative abilities
  • Must be able to write reports and business correspondence and effectively present information to legal, design, and construction professionals
  • Effective and timely communication with construction representatives at all levels – project, jobsite, executive, accounting, etc.
  • Proactive approach to preventing problems and resolving emerging issues and the ability to analyze, manage, and mitigate risks
  • Working knowledge of applicable software, including Primavera, Microsoft Project, and Excel
