In 2008, Hahn Loeser & Parks opened its Fort Myers office in order to meet the needs of its clients in this rapidly growing region of Southwest Florida. Our Fort Myers office is located in beautiful downtown Fort Myers within walking distances to the city and county administrative buildings and the federal and county courthouses.

Our Fort Myers litigation attorneys have accomplished backgrounds with significant experience in complex civil and commercial litigation, including trial and appellate, arbitration, mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolutions, and bankruptcy. Our attorneys regularly handle litigation matters relating to real estate transactions, eminent domain, business dissolutions, business and partnership disputes, non-competition enforcement, condominium and homeowners associations and easement and real estate covenant enforcement. Our litigation attorneys regularly practice before the state, appellate, federal and bankruptcy courts, city and county governments and administrative agencies.

Our Fort Myers business attorneys have extensive experience in representing clients locally and nationally in development and construction of residential, commercial, high-rise and mixed-use developments; acquisition and divestitures of real property and improvements; AIA and construction contracts; construction defect and warranty claims; construction liens; contractor license matters; land use and zoning; labor and employment; patent, trademark and intellectual property matters; commercial leases, condominium and homeowners association matters, including collections, foreclosures and covenant enforcement; complex joint venture arrangements; and structuring and documenting complex financing transactions, including asset based financing, loans to condominium and homeowners associations, development and construction loans, syndicated lending and participations and mezzanine loans.

The Fort Myers office also handles residential and commercial closings, title services and escrows. Several of our attorneys are title agents for Old Republic National Title Insurance Company and Fidelity National Title Insurance Company.

Senior Project Manager – Construction Services (OH, FL, IL – see specific cities below)

Hahn Loeser seeks a Senior Project Manager for our Construction Services team.  This position serves as a construction and technical advisor within our nationally ranked Construction Law Group.   Our firm is expanding our specialized Construction Services team of non-lawyer industry professionals experienced in construction project management, including scheduling, cost control, and claims management.  These professionals work closely with the firm’s construction lawyers and clients to analyze project schedule and cost impacts, assess contract requirements and project documentation, implement enhanced recordkeeping strategies to manage claims, and avoid or minimize the risk of potential claims.

This position can be based in Cleveland, Columbus, Chicago, Tampa, or Southwest Florida.  Annual salary is commensurate with professional experience.  Occasional travel may be required.

Hahn Loeser’s Construction Law Group represents a wide range of construction-related clients throughout the United States. The work performed by our team involves some of the most complex projects and intricate legal issues in the industry.  Our clients have included contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, sureties, owners, developers, and design professionals.

Qualifications

  • 8-12 years of construction project management experience, including managing contracts and subcontracts, change orders, and the requisite documentation for all project phases from preconstruction, construction, and closeout
  • Expertise in estimating, cost analysis, scheduling and schedule management is essential
  • Specific experience with time impact analysis and claims avoidance, management, and resolution is a plus
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Candidates with the following certifications are preferred, but not required:  PMP/Project Management Professional or PE/Professional Engineer

  • Strong analytical, writing, and collaborative abilities
  • Must be able to write reports and business correspondence and effectively present information to legal, design, and construction professionals
  • Effective and timely communication with construction representatives at all levels – project, jobsite, executive, accounting, etc.
  • Proactive approach to preventing problems and resolving emerging issues and the ability to analyze, manage, and mitigate risks
  • Working knowledge of applicable software, including Primavera, Microsoft Project, and Excel
