A member of the Florida Bar since 1976, Theodore L. Tripp, Jr. has devoted the primary emphasis of his practice to the trial of complex civil lawsuits in both state and federal courts. His trial experience includes acting as lead trial counsel in significant probate and trust litigation matters and business litigation. He has represented personal representatives, trustees, municipal and county governments, and landowners in multi-million dollar litigation at both the trial and appellate level of both state and federal courts. Ted has represented individuals, banking institutions, developers, contractors and governmental entities in both the trial and appellate review stages of complex civil disputes.
Ted led a trial team of litigation attorneys in hotly contested litigation arising from a dispute among the developers of Naples Bay Resort. Following a trial in Federal Court, Hahn Loeser recovered more than 50 million dollars for the client and successfully defended a 30 million dollar counterclaim.
Ted has acted as lead counsel in adversary proceedings brought in trust litigation involving Rawson Wood [Case No. 11-CA-1469] with trust assets in excess of $10 million; litigation involving the Estate of Erich Trost [11-CP-1815] involving estate assets in excess of $20 million; and the Estate of James Bernet [04-CP-5172], a challenge to a will in the context of an estate valued in excess of $110 million.
Ted has been Board Certified by The Florida Bar as a Specialist in Civil Trial Law since 1986, and Board Certified in Business Litigation since 1997. He also earned Certification by the National Board of Trial Advocacy as a Civil Trial Advocate in 1989. He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, Best Lawyers, and Bet the Company Litigation. Ted has been, on multiple occasions, named one of “Florida’s Legal Elite” by Florida Trend magazine, and listed in the most recent editions of Florida Super Lawyers and The Best Lawyers in America, among other publications. Ted is also the recipient of an AV rating from Martindale Hubbell, its highest rating for legal ability and ethics, for more than 25 years.
Antaramian Properties LLC, 2013, in which Hahn Loeser successfully represented the company, wiping out a counterclaim for $32 million and validating it as owners and holders of a valid and enforceable note and first mortgage lien on Naples Bay resort in excess of $50 million.
