Leslie is a real estate, business, franchise and immigration lawyer experienced in real estate, franchise and corporate matters, including commercial leasing, acquisition and divestiture of real estate, real estate title issues; structure, preparation and implementation of joint ventures and strategic partnering relationships; corporate governance and compliance matters such as Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, codes of ethics, fiduciary duties of directors, board committee charters, internal controls, disclosure and document retention policies; merger and acquisition transactions, including diligence, structure, negotiation and documentation; employment and transfer of foreign nationals, and compliance with employment verification and eligibility regulations. She also has experience assisting franchisors in registering to offer and sell franchises, licensing, structuring to avoid and work around franchising and other legal issues, and negotiating solutions to wide-ranging challenges facing franchisors.

Leslie advises real estate holding companies and developers of shopping center, mixed-use and affordable housing projects. She also counsels other landowners in a variety of commercial real estate matters, including acquisition and divestiture of real estate, real estate tax exemption, commercial financing and legal opinions, and leasing and property management issues. Leslie is also experienced in other corporate matters such as structure, preparation and implementation of joint ventures and strategic partnering relationships and fiduciary duties of directors, board committee charters, internal controls, disclosure and document retention policies. She also advises clients on franchise, licensing and distribution law, including regulatory compliance. She counsels franchisors on franchise registration and disclosure, management of franchise relationships, franchise growth strategies, and termination of franchise relationships.
Leslie also provides immigration counseling and regularly consults companies on strategies for employing foreign nationals on a temporary or permanent basis and represents multinational corporations seeking to employ or transfer international personnel to the United States. She also conducts I-9 audits and advises employers on employment eligibility and I-9 compliance, counseling the company and providing training to human resource professionals on best practices to ensure that the company complies with employment eligibility verification requirements while avoiding immigration discrimination violations.
Leslie is a member of the Board of Unverferth House and a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the National Association of Women Business Owners. She is past president of the Central Ohio Land Title Association and a fellow on the Real Estate, Probate and Estate & Gift Taxes committees. In addition, she is a member of Women Lawyers of Franklin County and a volunteer member of Make-A-Wish Foundation, Greater Ohio.
Leslie has 2 daughters and spends many of her weekends watching them at cheerleading competitions and soccer tournaments.
