Steven D. Solowsky

Steven Solowsky is a Board Certified Specialist in Real Estate Law and a Partner in Hahn Loeser’s Real Estate and Construction practice areas. Drawing on years of experience and keen legal acumen, Steven guides developers, investors, lenders, individuals, business owners, and community associations through all aspects of commercial real estate matters, including acquisitions, sales, leasing, due diligence, title and survey issues, land use, and operational concerns. His thorough, solutions-oriented approach balances legal protection with practical deal execution.

Steven has successfully represented clients in the acquisition, sale, and leasing of a wide variety of commercial and residential properties, including retail centers, mixed-use developments, office buildings, industrial properties, warehouses, medical facilities, mobile home and RV parks, marinas, gas stations, and dry cleaners. He drafts and negotiates commercial leases for both landlords and tenants and works closely with title companies to resolve title issues and facilitate smooth closings. Steven’s comprehensive experience includes assisting clients with due diligence, land use, zoning and operational considerations that arise during the acquisition and development process. In addition, he provides guidance to homeowners’ and condominium associations in a variety of governance, transactional, and enforcement issues. Steven brings a practical, business-minded perspective to every matter, with a focus on clarity, risk management, and efficiency at every step.

Steven has also handled a wide range of commercial litigation matters, where he was retained by major title insurance companies to defend or pursue claims on behalf of their insureds. He has successfully represented clients in both state and federal court, arbitrations (including class arbitrations), and mediations, including breach of contract, civil theft, deceptive and unfair trade practices, legal malpractice, contractor’s liens and foreclosures. Steven was a pivotal member of a legal team in a class arbitration involving over 12,000 claimants, securing more than $200 million in combined cash and non-cash relief for class members.

While in law school, Steven served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Adalberto Jordan on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
