Cheri M. Piglia is an estate and trust administration paralegal for the firm's Naples office.
Cheri assists attorneys and firm clients in their individual and fiduciary roles with trust and estate settlement and administration, including communications with client, document review, and preparation of documents for estate proceedings (both Court and trust administration); draft pleadings for formal and informal administration and maintain docket status; preparation of Federal estate tax returns, including gathering of asset information; maintain legal file, preparation of meeting agendas for client meetings, monitor status of settlement process, assist in fiduciary income tax preparation and income distribution planning for income tax purposes, funding of trusts and coordinate distributions under attorney direction; coordination of appraisals for real estate and tangible personal property and obtaining supporting documents for establishing ownership and value of a decedent’s estate and/or trust assets; and assist with post mortem tax planning. Assist client trustees for high net worth clients of trust and estate practice in various capacities, including assistance in cash management and working with client’s professional team of advisors, including CPAs, money managers, brokers, and legal counsel. Assist fiduciaries in beneficiary requests for distributions.
Additionally, she assists clients with estate planning matters, including funding and maintaining various trusts.
