On account of COVID-19, this year’s program was presented as a webinar to over 300 attending attorneys. Steve titled his presentation, “A Plandemic of Wealth Transfer Opportunities.” Steve discussed seven stars in the estate planning universe which have aligned for unique opportunities for family wealth transfers. These seven stars are: high gift/GST/estate exemptions, suppressed asset values, low interest rates, a wide array of powerful estate planning tools, ways to gift and not give it all away, ways to wait and see and unwind gifts, and highly motivated clients who want to lock in the temporary exemptions and trust options before they expire.
