Hahn Loeser & Parks LLP is pleased to announce that Ryan M. Palko has joined the firm’s Cleveland office as an associate in its Business Law Practice. Palko represents lower-middle market companies engaged in mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters, while performing tax planning and offering comprehensive guidance for closely held businesses.
“We are looking forward to all that we can accomplish with Ryan on our team,” said Business Practice Chair Benjamin M. Cooke. “He brings a strong blend of tax and corporate law experience that will be a real asset to our clients. As an additional member of our M&A team, he will support many of our group’s middle market deals.”
Ryan has experience negotiating transaction documents for mergers and acquisitions involving closely held companies, including asset and equity purchase agreements, disclosure schedules, and representation and warranty insurance policies. He also advises privately held businesses on corporate tax planning and strategic tax diligence. Ryan’s practice includes conducting risk-focused reviews of tax history and compliance to identify hidden liabilities, assess exposure, and help optimize deal structures. He counsels clients on structuring entities and transactions to reduce tax liability, support business goals and cash flow, and navigate complex federal, state, and local tax compliance and audits.
A Northeast Ohio native, Ryan simultaneously completed his J.D., MBA and MAcc from Cleveland State University. He also recently earned an LLM from the University of Baltimore.
