A partner with the firm, Robert A. Cooper focuses his practice in all areas of real estate law, construction law, condominium and homeowners association law, lien and foreclosure law, loan and financing transactions, commercial leasing, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate and business law.
He has extensive experience representing clients in development and construction of residential, commercial, high-rise and mixed-use developments; acquisition and divestitures of real property and improvements; construction contracts; construction defect and warranty claims; construction liens; contractor license matters; condominium and homeowners association matters, including collections, foreclosures and covenant enforcement; commercial leases; complex joint venture arrangements; and structuring and documenting complex financing transactions, including asset based financing, loans to condominium and homeowners associations, development and construction loans, syndicated lending and participations and mezzanine loans.
Robert formerly served as General Legal Counsel for a real estate development company specializing in the acquisition, design, development and construction of master-planned residential, commercial, high-rise and mixed-use communities, golf-courses and golf-course communities and commercial shopping centers in Southwest Florida and Northeast Ohio.
