Mark M. Rawdin

Mark Rawdin defends businesses in intellectual property disputes and employment litigation while providing transactional counsel on workforce compliance. His practice centers on protecting trade secrets, defending employment claims, and counseling business clients on data privacy and employee relations. Mark serves technology companies, life sciences firms, and businesses across industries facing IP threats and employment law challenges.

Mark’s litigation practice focuses on trade secret misappropriation under California’s trade secret statutes, data breach disputes, and employment law defense. He defends multi-hundred employee companies against PAGA claims and class actions involving California Labor Code violations, conducts workforce analyses, and has negotiated several settlements to avoid class certification. Mark also handles unfair competition claims, tortious interference with contractual relations, and breach of fiduciary duty matters in state and federal courts.

Mark also counsels business clients on workforce compliance matters, including employment agreements, confidentiality and trade secret protection, vendor contracts, SaaS licensing agreements, and intellectual property licensing arrangements.

Mark earned his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law, where he earned a CALI Award in Corporate Innovation and Legal Policy. During law school, he externed for the Honorable Gonzalo Curiel of the U.S. District Court, Southern District of California, and gained valuable experience clerking for a multi-state litigation firm with offices throughout the western United States. He maintains active membership in the California State Bar and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Central, Eastern, and Northern Districts of California.
