Hahn Loeser & Parks LLP is proud to announce the addition of Philip K. Stovall, who joined the Columbus office as a partner in the Firm’s Business Practice Area. Stovall focuses on debtor/creditor issues, commercial and bankruptcy litigation, insolvency, workouts, and tax controversies.

“We are extremely excited to have Phil join the firm,” stated Business Practice Area Chair Rocco I. Debitetto. “He is well regarded in the Columbus market and beyond, and his experience will further enhance the already robust capabilities of our Commercial Services and Restructuring team.”

Stovall represents debtors, creditors, and other parties in interest in commercial bankruptcy cases and in complex litigation in state and federal courts. He also advises clients with respect to out-of-court insolvency matters, including out-of-court restructurings and workouts, as well as in matters involving the IRS and other taxing authorities.

Prior to joining private practice, Stovall served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable C. Kathryn Preston of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Ohio for four years. In 2021, he was named to the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges’ Next Generation Program.

Stovall earned his J.D. from the University of Toledo College of Law, graduating cum laude in 2013. He earned a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business.
