The U.S. Supreme Court recently revisited the antitrust implications of the collective licensing of intellectual property assets. In American Needle, Inc. v. National Football League et al., the Court held that that the intellectual property licensing practices of the National Football League are not immune from antitrust review and must be considered under the rule of reason standard.
