Hahn Loeser & Parks LLP welcomed Justin L. Yarnell to its Columbus office, as an Associate in its Business Practice Area. Yarnell will focus on tax and corporate transactions and brings significant experience in tax compliance and controversy, including IRS audits, and federal, state, and local tax returns and notices.
Yarnell worked at the Internal Revenue Service for three years as a revenue agent auditing private and public, domestic and foreign C-corps, S-corps, and partnerships. Most recently, he worked in the IRS’s Office of Chief Counsel in Cincinnati focusing on tax litigation. Yarnell’s professional experience includes serving as a senior corporate tax analyst with a large utility company and as a corporate tax analyst with a retail company, both in Columbus. He also spent a year as a tax associate with an accounting firm in Cleveland.

Yarnell earned his J.D. from The Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2014. He earned his B.A. in business administration with a focus in accounting from Christopher Newport University. He is admitted to practice in Ohio and Indiana (inactive) and is a Certified Public Accountant in Ohio.
