Hahn Loeser & Parks welcomed Litigation and Construction Partner Lauren S. Purdy to its Columbus office. Purdy’s experience includes first-chair litigation, regulatory compliance, appellate work, aviation, injury claims, and insurance fraud.
“I watched Lauren’s leadership at ODOT for years and was very pleased she agreed to join Hahn Loeser & Parks,” remarked Construction Co-Chair Aaron S. Evenchik. “Lauren is a proven leader, well known in the construction community and has earned the respect and trust of many within the industry’s professional organizations. She will add great depth and experience to our construction team.”
Spending 15 years with the Ohio Department of Transportation, Purdy focused on construction law, contractor disputes, administrative hearings, and large-scale contract administration. Her last 10 years came as ODOT’s first Deputy Director of the Division of Opportunity, Diversity, and Inclusion, leading a team of 41 individuals and bringing the agency into federal compliance, while safeguarding crucial funding. She also served as Team Leader for the landmark Brent Spence Bridge Corridor Project, ODOT’s first Progressive Design Build Project.
Purdy has represented contractors in disputes with governmental authorities, negotiating resolutions and defending administrative and civil claims. She also advises on contract procurement and enforcement and consumer-protection litigation. Her appellate work and post-judgment motions include favorable client outcomes for Rule 60(B) relief.
Purdy earned her J.D. from Capital University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts from Ohio Wesleyan University.
