Hahn Loeser Celebrates 48th Cleveland International Film Festival

Christopher S.W. Blake

On April 10, approximately 150 clients and friends of Hahn Loeser gathered at Playhouse Square for a screening of the documentary, “Food Roots” as part of the 48th Cleveland International Film Festival (CIFF). A cocktail reception at Cibreo Privato followed the screening and included a Q&A session with restauranteur and entrepreneur Billy Dec, the film’s subject, Michele Josue, the film’s director, Doug Blush, the film’s executive director, and reception attendees.

Food Roots focuses on Dec’s journey back to his Filipino roots to discover and recover the recipes of his ancestors, causing viewers to work up an appetite for the reception, which included Filipino fare. Hahn Loeser’s Christopher Blake served as chair of this year’s CIFF event and moderated the Q&A session. Hahn Loeser has been a proud sponsor of the CIFF since 2003. Blake has been in leadership roles with CIFF since 2005 and has served as Board President since 2019.
