Anandita Vyakarnam Joins Hahn Loeser & Parks LLP’s Chicago Office

Hahn Loeser & Parks LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Anandita Vyakarnam who joined the firm as a partner in the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Area. Vyakarnam’s practice will focus on patent litigation, counseling, and IP due diligence.

Vyakarnam’s extensive experience includes complex patent litigation, patent counseling and opinions, IP due diligence, licensing, prosecution and post-grant patent review. She has substantial experience with the drug approval process under the Hatch-Waxman Act and pharmaceutical patent litigation involving Abbreviated New Drug Applications.

Vyakarnam has served as trial counsel in multiple litigations and has earned successful results for clients at the claim construction, trial and appellate levels. She has represented major pharmaceutical corporations in Hatch-Waxman litigations involving drugs for treating cancer, HIV, type-2 diabetes, high cholesterol, heartburn and Alzheimer’s disease, among others. She has also litigated cases and advised clients in technology areas including chemical, medical devices, biotechnology, cosmetics, digital marketing technology, medical diagnostics, consumer products and mechanical devices. 

Vyakarnam earned her J.D. from Columbia University School of Law in 2002. She earned a Ph.D. in biochemistry and molecular biology from Michigan State University in 1996. Vyakarnam earned both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Panjab University. She is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and U.S. District Courts for the District of New Jersey, Southern District of New York and Eastern District of New York.
