Six Hahn Loeser Attorneys Honored by 2024 Illinois Super Lawyers

Hahn Loeser & Parks LLP is pleased to announce that Chicago office attorneys Joel T. Cooper, Steven E. Feldman, Cornelius F. Riordan and Sherry L. Rollo were named as repeat selections in the 2024 Illinois Super Lawyers list. Additionally, associates Patrick Mardula and Kelsey L. Smith were named 2024 Illinois Rising Stars.

Cooper has earned a Super Lawyershonor in Real Estate for the fifth consecutive year. He represents institutional sponsors of private equity funds, major money center banks, life insurance companies and other lenders and investors in connection with direct investment. He also represents full service real estate organizations, commercial owners, developers and individual owners. Cooper is also rated AV Preeminent® by Martindale-Hubbell, was listed in The Best Lawyers in America® (Real Estate Law) for 11 straight years, and was listed in Illinois Leading Lawyers. Along with real estate, Cooper practices in corporate law.

Feldman is included in the Super Lawyerslist in Intellectual Property for the fifth straight year. Feldman is Chair of Hahn Loeser’s Intellectual Property Practice Area, the Partner-in-Charge of the firm’s Chicago office and a member of the Firm’s Board of Directors. He focuses on complex intellectual property litigation, prosecution and counseling involving patents, trade secrets, trademarks and unfair competition, copyrights and associated licensing, and due diligence, both domestically and internationally. Feldman has also been named in Best Lawyers in America® in three categories in each of the last two years.

Riordan, who joined the Firm in 2023, has been recognized for Construction Litigation by Super Lawyers in each of the last 17 years. He has decades of experience representing contractors, sureties and lenders in both litigation and transactional aspects of construction and surety law, including preparation of construction contracts, construction loan agreements, documents in default, termination cases, workouts, financing of principals, asset sales and acquisitions.

Rollo has earned a Super Lawyershonor in Intellectual Property in seven consecutive years and was a Rising Star in each of the seven years prior. She represents clients in domestic and international matters involving patents, trade secrets, trademarks, unfair competition, copyrights, and associated licensing issues. An experienced litigator and licensed patent attorney, Rollo has handled high-profile cases across a range of technologies. She also was named to The Best Lawyers in America® in each of the last four years including being named 2023 Lawyer of the Year for Trade Secrets.

Mardula, who started at Hahn Loeser in 2021, earned his first Rising Stars honor for Intellectual Property Litigation. With a background in engineering and construction management, his practice includes patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret enforcement and procurement.

Smith also earned her first Rising Stars recognition (Business Litigation) since joining the Firm in 2021. Her practice encompasses a broad range of business disputes in both federal and state courts. Her experience includes complex commercial litigation, business and corporate disputes, construction litigation, malpractice, cryptocurrency matters, construction litigation, and condominium disputes.
