A partner in Hahn Loeser’s Litigation and Construction practice areas, Lauren Purdy provides practical solutions, allowing clients to achieve business goals. Lauren’s array of knowledge, experience and leadership includes first-chair litigation, regulatory compliance, appellate work, aviation, injury claims, and insurance fraud.

For seven years, Lauren served as a civil litigator, managing cases through trial, including multiple jury trials and over 50 bench trials. She has represented contractors in disputes with governmental authorities, negotiating resolutions and defending administrative and civil claims. Lauren advises on contract procurement and enforcement and consumer-protection litigation. Her appellate work and post-judgment motions, includes favorable client outcomes for Rule 60(B) relief.

Lauren spent 15 years with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), working in various positions focused on construction law, contractor disputes, administrative hearings, and large-scale contract administration. Her last 10 years came as ODOT’s first Deputy Director of the Division of Opportunity, Diversity, and Inclusion, successfully leading a team of 41 individuals, bringing the agency into federal compliance, safeguarding crucial funding. She served as Team Leader for the landmark Brent Spence Bridge Corridor Project, ODOT’s first Progressive Design Build Project (PDB). Lauren oversaw policy direction and actions of the Office of Business and Economic Opportunity, the Office of Civil Rights Compliance, and the Office of Outreach.
