As a partner in Hahn Loeser’s Business Practice Area, Ivan H. Golden advises corporations, partnerships, institutional investors and other businesses on transactional tax matters, including mergers and acquisitions, investments, reorganizations, sales, and liquidations. Ivan also creates customized tax plans and business succession plans for both businesses and individuals.
In addition, Ivan represents businesses and individuals in disputes with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and state and local tax authorities. He has significant experience counseling clients through examinations, administrative appeals and litigation, and he has successfully represented clients in the U.S. Tax Court and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. Ivan represents taxpayers throughout the process of disclosing foreign assets and accounts and is well-versed in the consequences of interstate and international business.
Ivan’s tax practice expands to the non-profit sector, in which he counsels public charities and private foundations throughout the process of obtaining and maintaining tax-exempt status.
