Deepika Sathe is an Associate in the Tampa office of Hahn Loeser’s Immigration Practice. She brings a strong foundation in legal research, writing, case management, and client service, with practical experience gained through clinical work, legal clerkships, and docketing roles. Deepika has supported attorneys and clients across immigration, employment litigation, administrative, and intellectual property matters.
Deepika’s practice concerns P-1, O-1, and employment-based visas, as well as family-based immigration. Her approach centers around understanding each petitioner’s needs, corresponding with the beneficiary’s goals and circumstances, and finding the best solution.
Deepika’s experience includes assisting immigration attorneys with client intake, preparing immigration petitions, and preparing immigration strategies for clients. Her passion for immigration law stems from her personal experience. She is a testament of perseverance and working within the system – her journey to the US began with an H-4 dependent visa and concluded in the US citizenship – where she was actively involved in every step of navigating the intricacies of the US immigration system. Deepika understands the importance of every immigration-related petition for its stakeholders and is committed to providing the best service.
In her previous employments, Deepika conducted legal research and drafted legal documents, including demand letters, mediation statements, complaints, motions, and discovery materials. Deepika has extensive experience in facilitating sessions pertaining to leadership skills, drawing on her training as a Psychologist in India.
Deepika earned her J.D. from Stetson University College of Law, while working full-time. At Stetson Law she was a member of the Dispute Resolution Board where she had opportunities to hone her negotiation and mediation skills by representing Stetson Law in various regional and national competitions.
Originally from Mumbai, India, Deepika lives in Lutz, Florida with her husband, cats and a husky. She enjoys going on walks, volunteering with animal rescue organizations, and fostering husky puppies.
