Litigation Paralegal

Hahn Loeser & Parks has an immediate need for a litigation paralegal with a minimum of three years of experience in Commercial and Intellectual Property litigation for our Chicago office.  Candidates must have experience in all aspects of discovery and trial preparation.  Experience with e-discovery is preferred, including working with outside vendors, organizing and coding documents in Ringtail (highly preferred) or other document software, and preparing trial exhibits using trial software (such as Trial Director).  

We are looking for someone who can immediately contribute, meet critical and short deadlines, demonstrate strong communication skills, and handle confidential client information.  Some travel may be required during trials.

  • Applicants must be familiar with Illinois and federal rules, as well as have experience with electronic filing and Westlaw research. 
  • Applicants should be able to support a busy practice with multiple attorneys
  • Paralegal Certificate or Associate Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, analytical and organizational abilities, and a proactive nature to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work with attorneys, paralegals, and staff across firm’s offices
  • Knowledge of timekeeping for billable and non-billable work
