Hahn Loeser & Parks LLP announced today that Ivan H. Golden has joined the firm’s Chicago office as a partner in the firm’s Business Practice Area, with a focus on Taxation.
Golden’s practice focuses on advising corporations, partnerships, institutional investors and other businesses on transactional tax matters, including purchases, investments, sales, reorganizations and liquidations. He also represents businesses and individuals in disputes with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and various state and local tax authorities. He has significant experience counseling clients through examinations, administrative appeals and litigation, and has successfully represented clients in U.S. Tax Court and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.

Golden also creates custom tax plans and business succession plans for both businesses and individuals. He represents taxpayers throughout the process of disclosures of foreign assets and accounts and is well-versed in the consequences of interstate and international business.
Before joining Hahn Loeser, Golden spent seven years as a tax associate at Schiff Hardin, LLP. Prior to that, Golden served two years as an attorney adviser to Judge L. Paige Marvel of the United States Tax Court in Washington, D.C.
Golden received his Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri, and his Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law. He earned his Master of Laws in Taxation, cum laude, from New York University School of Law.
