Hahn Loeser & Parks LLP announced today that Charles A. Williams has joined the firm’s San Diego office as an associate in its Trusts & Estates Group.
Williams focuses on taxation matters and counsels clients through the various aspects of trust and estate planning. He regularly performs tax planning, consulting and compliance for clients with multiple business entities, including foreign and domestic trusts, corporations, partnerships, and disregarded entities. Williams assists clients from small business to large, international corporations with tax audits, tax litigation, expert witness preparation, fiduciary accounting internal tax documentation and international tax compliance. Familiar with a variety of international tax regulations, Williams also guides clients through tax planning objectives, international tax credits, relevant tax treaties, and trust and estate allocations.

Before Hahn Loeser, Williams served as a tax manager at Friedman Brannen LLP and also spent time at Ernst & Young, LLP. Prior to building his law practice, Williams acted as a criminal defense attorney at the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Ariz. In this position, he defended Marines in criminal cases and separation proceedings with positive results.
Williams received both his juris doctor and his Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of San Diego School of Law, and his B.A. from San Diego State University.
