Ohio Law to Require LEED Certification for State-Funded Projects

Ohio H.B. No. 7, introduced in the General Assembly early this year, would require that all buildings or structures erected or constructed using any state capital monies, including monies from the education facilities trust fund, be certified as meeting at least the silver standard of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) green building rating system developed by the United States Green Building Council (to be enacted as O.R.C. 153.013).
