Hahn Loeser & Parks LLP is pleased to announce the hiring of Senior Manager of Construction Services, David A. Elsey. In his new position, Elsey collaborates with the Firm’s clients and attorneys to implement best construction management practices and risk management measures, including cost and schedule tracking, analysis of project impacts, and assembling of comprehensive damages.
“Dave’s industry experience and skillset provides our Firm’s clients and attorneys with invaluable first-hand knowledge of the construction process,” remarked Director of Construction Services, Chad Van Arnam. “His large-to-small scale project experience will provide a unique understanding of the varying complexities challenging our industry. We look forward to the contributions and insight Dave will bring to our construction group.”
With over 15 years of construction operational experience, Elsey has worked in both public and private commercial markets to collaboratively deliver complex projects, including healthcare, higher education, K-12, institutional, hospitality, retail, commercial office space, and multi-family facilities.

Elsey has extensive experience overseeing projects and implementing processes throughout every phase of construction. His oversight has included project estimating, bidding, buyout, scheduling, site logistics, project planning and documentation, job costing and reporting, labor productivity and tracking, and project punchlist and closeout.
Prior to joining Hahn Loeser, Elsey served as Director of Project Management for Tober Building Company. He also served as a Senior Project Manager for Turner Construction, overseeing projects for clients such as Cuyahoga County, Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals, St. Ignatius High School, John Carroll University, Hilton Worldwide and JP Morgan Chase. Over the course of his career, Elsey has provided oversight and management of more than $700m worth of completed construction projects.
A Northeast Ohio native, Elsey earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Engineering Technology and a minor in Business Administration from The University of Akron and has been a member of his alma mater’s Engineering Advisory Committee since 2012.
