Hahn Loeser Obtains Dismissal of Antitrust Claims Against Binance.US, Compels Other Claims to Arbitration

Jeffrey A. Brauer, Michael J. Gleason

Hahn Loeser obtained another victory for longtime client BAM Trading Inc., dba Binance.US. In Cox v. CMC, et. al., pending in an Arizona federal court, a plaintiff sought to certify a national class against the cryptocurrency exchange based on alleged market manipulation of cryptocurrency. The court granted Hahn Loeser’s motion to dismiss the Sherman Act claims against BAM, finding the claims lacked merit, and agreed with Hahn Loeser that the remainder of the claims should be compelled to arbitration pursuant to BAM’s arbitration terms, over the plaintiff’s objection. BAM is represented by Hahn Loeser Partners Jeffrey A. Brauer and Michael J. Gleason.

The decision was recognized in leading legal publications, Law360 and Bloomberg Law and follows a series of favorable court outcomes for Binance.US and its Hahn Loeser defense team in 2024 and early 2026.
