Hahn Loeser hosted CLE December 8

On December 8, HLP hosted a CLE discussing The Ethical Role of Lawyers Serving on the Warren Commission And The Ethics of Representing Lee Harvey Oswald – the Lying Client at the Cleveland Global Center for Health Innovation.

Our seminar investigated the role of the lawyers who worked for the Warren Commission whose job it was to fulfill the mission laid out by the Chief Justice which was a “search for the truth.” Looked at the ethical obligations in the nontraditional roles played by these attorneys as investigators rather than advocates. They faced ethical and legal challenges in dealing with expert witnesses; protecting the rights and privacy of witnesses; judging the credibility and reliability of witnesses and evidence and dealing with government agencies that were not always truthful.
