Hahn Loeser & Parks LLP announces immigration attorneys Kenneth J. Robinson, Donald C. Slowik and Bano Itayim have joined the firm’s Columbus office.

Robinson joins the firm as a partner and boasts proficiency in handling a wide range of business and family immigration matters. Robinson regularly represents employers ranging from start-up entities to Fortune 500 companies, engineering, design and architecture firms, universities, allied health care institutions, foreign investors, athletes and entertainers on a wide variety of employment-based immigration matters. Robinson counsels his clients on temporary visas and permanent (green card) immigration options and assists in developing strategies to help his clients secure highly sought-after foreign national talent. Robinson also represents employers regarding I-9 compliance matters.
Robinson earned his J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 1998 and his Bachelor of Arts from Miami University in 1994. In addition to his immigration law practice, Robinson is one of only approximately 90 U.S.-based certified Player Representatives (Agents) certified by the National Hockey League Players Association and regularly assists professional athletes with sports-related matters.
Slowik, who joins the firm as senior counsel, has over 35 years of experience in labor and employment law, concentrating on employment-based immigration law. Well-versed in attendant HR issues, he regularly guides companies, both Fortune 500 and small businesses, through the process of obtaining temporary and permanent immigration status for foreign nationals whom they seek to employ within the United States. Slowik counsels employers on E-Verify and I-9 compliance and defends them during governmental investigations, including investigations of immigration-related discrimination claims. He assists employers with facilitating business travel of foreign staff to the U.S.
Slowik earned his J.D. from The Ohio State University College of Law in 1980 and his Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude from Duke University in 1975.
Itayim joins the firm as an associate and focuses her practice on immigration and labor and employment law. She has extensive experience handling non-immigrant visas, PERM labor certifications, National Interest Waivers, fiancé petitions, marriage-based petitions, and naturalization matters for her clients. As an immigrant herself, Itayim offers a first-hand point of view as she advises clients on immigration matters and their legal rights and obligations. Itayim also counsels corporate clients on employment labor certification and the consequences of immigration-related noncompliance.
Itayim is a 2009 graduate of Thomas M. Cooley Law School and an alumna of the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas. She is licensed to practice law in Texas and Ohio and is permitted to practice in the Federal District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
