Hahn Loeser & Parks LLP partner Danielle Humphries has been named among San Diego Business Journal’s 2018 “Business Women of the Year” for her notable contributions to the San Diego community. Humphries was recognized at a luncheon at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront on Dec. 13.
In its 25th year, the award had over 200 nominations and 103 women who were named finalists. Humphries was selected as one of just 25 women to be honored as a winner and was chosen by an independent judging panel of successful business women.
“I am humbled to have been chosen as one of this year’s Business Women of the Year,” said Humphries. “I am proud to work and live in such a vibrant community full of dedicated women leaders and I truly appreciate this honor.”
Humphries, an equity partner at Hahn Loeser and Chair of the San Diego’s Trusts & Estates practice group, has developed a reputation as a trusted advisor with experience, insight and sophistication to help navigate complex issues both from a legal and business perspective. The majority of her practice focuses on trusts and estates, including estate planning, wealth transfer and preservation, business succession planning, trust administration, probate, and probate litigation.
Humphries devotes time to Hahn Loeser’s Women’s Leadership Initiative, designed to create leadership skills and opportunities for women attorneys in the firm as well as for business women in the communities in which the firm practices. An active Board Member with Promises2Kids, Humphries chairs its Philanthropy Committee, which leads initiatives to support the diverse needs of more than 3,000 San Diego foster children. In addition, Humphries has been a driving force in Hahn Loeser’s continued support of The San Diego Museum of Art, most recently through its sponsorship of the museum’s free admission program for kids age 17 and under in San Diego County.
Throughout her career, Humphries has earned a “Best of the Bar” award by the San Diego Business Journal, multiple awards by the San Diego Daily Transcript as a San Diego “Top Attorney” in the category of Estate Planning/Probate and Trust/Tax, and San Diego Super Lawyers’ Rising Star designation.
