Columbus Business First announced that Hahn Loeser & Parks LLP partner A.J. Hensel has been selected as a 40 Under 40 honoree for 2018.
The longest-running awards program at Business First, 40 Under 40 is in its 26th year and recognizes individuals under the age of 40 who are making great strides as community leaders to shape the future of Central Ohio. The 40 Under 40 program is a highly selective annual program and the 26th class was chosen from a field of more than 300 nominations, and a record 236 completed applications. A decorated veteran and former U.S. Army officer, Hensel joined Hahn Loeser’s Columbus office as an associate attorney in 2014 and made an immediate impact with the firm. Hensel, a leader and dedicated advocate, represents and provides counsel to individuals and small businesses in all aspects of civil litigation, risk mitigation and policy initiatives. He also has extensive experience handling complex matters for plaintiffs and defendants in both state and federal courts. Hensel was promoted to partner in 2018.
Hensel served for five years as an officer in the U.S. Army. He achieved the rank of Captain and was recognized for his exemplary leadership in combat during Operation Iraqi Freedom II, including the Bronze Star and Meritorious Service Medal. He received his B.S. from the United State Military Academy where he was a member of the Division 1A football team, and went on to receive his J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.
