Cheri M. Piglia is an estate and trust administration paralegal for the firm’s Naples office.

Cheri assists attorneys and firm clients in their individual and fiduciary roles with trust and estate settlement and administration, including document review and preparation of documents for estate proceedings (both Court and trust administration). She drafts pleadings for formal and informal administration and maintain docket status; prepares Federal estate tax returns, including gathering of asset information; maintains legal files, prepares meeting agendas for client meetings, monitors status of settlement processes; and assists in fiduciary income tax preparation and income distribution planning for income tax purposes, funding of trusts and coordinate distributions under attorney direction.

Additionally, Cheri coordinates appraisals for real estate and tangible personal property and obtains supporting documents for establishing ownership and value of a decedent’s estate and/or trust assets; and assists with post mortem tax planning. Cheri assists client trustees for high net worth clients of trust and estate practice in various capacities and assists fiduciaries in beneficiary requests for distributions. Additionally, she assists clients with estate planning matters, including funding and maintaining various trusts.
