Hahn Loeser & Parks LLP is pleased to announce Casey McElfresh from its Cleveland office and Gillian G. Lindsay from its Chicago office have been elected to the firm’s partnership effective January 1, 2020 based on their professional achievements, depth of legal experience and commitment to their clients.

 McElfresh counsels clients in the areas of litigation and commercial litigation.  His experience includes fiduciary litigation, including defending clients in ERISA, employment benefits coverage, professional malpractice and property-rights disputes, and representing clients in contract disputes. He has represented clients across a broad spectrum of industries, including the insurance industry, telecommunications industry, mining and natural resources industry.   McElfresh has been named a Rising Star in Ohio Super Lawyers® from 2017-2019. He earned his J.D. from Cleveland State University Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 2011, where he received the Dean’s Scholarship and was Editor-in-Chief of Cleveland State Law Review.  He received his B.A., summa cum laude, from Kent State University in 2008.

 Lindsay has over a decade of experience representing clients ranging from closely held businesses to Fortune 100 companies across various industries and throughout every phase of commercial litigation. She handles complex disputes involving breach of contract, consumer and business torts, trade secrets, labor and employment disputes, and trademark infringement. She has successfully represented clients before trial and appellate courts, the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) International Court of Arbitration, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Illinois Department of Human Rights, the Illinois Department of Labor, and Illinois Department of Employment Security.  Lindsay’s litigation practice also includes a focus on biometric privacy issues, specifically relating to the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (“BIPA”).

 Lindsay earned her J.D., cum laude, from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 2008, where she was on the Dean’s List and a member of Order of the Coif.  She received her B.A., cum laude,  from Miami University in 2005, where she was on the President’s List and Captain of the Division 1 Field Hockey Team.
