Primary Practices

Jayme Levin-Muriel began her legal career as a staff attorney at the Center for Disability and Elder Law (formerly the Legal Clinic for the Disabled, Inc.) where she managed the Chicago Department on Aging grant to provide legal services and referrals to at-risk senior citizens in Chicago. In 1997, Jayme moved to Spain, Spain & Varnet P.C. which joined Hahn Loeser & Parks LLP in 2022.

Jayme practices in the areas of probate and estate planning with a special focus on estate planning for persons with disabilities. Her probate practice concentrates on minor and adult guardianships and decedent’s estates matters in many counties throughout Illinois.  She is an invited speaker for special education departments/schools, advocacy groups, service providers for persons with developmental disabilities and trainings for legal services organizations on topics regarding guardianship and planning for persons with disabilities.

In 2000, Jayme was awarded the Chicago Bar Foundation’s Maurice Weigle Exceptional Young Lawyer Award, which celebrates the initiative and exceptional contributions of young lawyers to the profession, the organized bar, and the community.
