Our summer program is
designed to provide the Firm and the participating
law students with the opportunity to get to know one
another and experience our daily practice. Each
student is involved in real projects for real
clients and attends events such as depositions,
business transaction closings and court proceedings.
In addition to feedback on
individual projects, summer associates receive two
formal evaluations. The mid-summer evaluation
provides the summer associate with feedback and
advice to improve their developing legal skills. We
are committed to the success of the participants. In
fact, we hire only the number of second year
students that we anticipate needing for the
following year’s class of new associates.
Social activities are a
necessary part of the summer program to allow our
summer associates to get to know us in more relaxed
settings. Our social events change from year to
year, but typically include a kick-off party, a golf
outing, and a day of boating, as well as spontaneous
events throughout the summer.
In addition to considering
applications from write-in candidates, we will be
conducting preliminary interviews of law students at
the following schools and career fairs:
