As a business litigation attorney, Ted brings resolution to his clients’ legal issues efficiently and cost effectively. He finds the experience professionally and personally gratifying and sees courtroom advocacy as a privilege and a pleasure.

Acting as lead trial counsel in business litigation and land use disputes, Ted represents landowners, businesses and municipal and county governments in multimillion-dollar litigation. He has also represented individuals, banking institutions, developers, contractors and governmental entities in the trial and appellate review stages of complex civil disputes.

At Hahn Loeser

Ted’s commercial litigation attorney work focuses on the trial of complex civil lawsuits in state and federal courts. He has acted as lead trial counsel in commercial litigation land use disputes and litigated complex matters in jury and non-jury trials. Representative clients include banking institutions, developers, contractors and private individuals.

Serving as lead counsel, he has briefed and argued cases in the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for both the Fifth and the Eleventh Circuits, the Florida Supreme Court and four of five Florida District Courts of Appeal.

His experience includes leading a Hahn Loeser trial team that successfully prosecuted a hotly contested $50 million foreclosure of a mixed-use development in Naples, Florida. The team also successfully defended a $30 million counterclaim for fraud and breach of fiduciary duty, following an eight-day trial in federal court.

Since he began practicing law in 1976, Ted has been AV® Preeminent Rated, Martindale-Hubbell for 25 consecutive years. He has been board certified in Civil Trial Law since 1986, in Business Litigation Law since 1997 and in Civil Law with the National Board of Trial Advocacy since 1989. He has also been certified as a Circuit Civil Mediator since 1997 and certified as a mediator in the United States District Court since 2006.

Ted is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, an organization whose membership is limited to trial attorneys who have recovered more than $1 million for a client in a litigation matter.

In the community

Ted serves as chancellor of Episcopal Diocese of Southwest Florida, founding master emeritus of Calusa Inn of Court and diocesan chancellor of the Diocese of Southwest Florida. In addition, he has been active at a number of nonprofit organizations, serving as president and a member of the board of directors of the Lee County Legal Aid Society and of the Day Spring Episcopal Conference Center, as well as serving as vice president and a member of the board of the Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida.

At home

Ted enjoys spending time with his grandchildren and considers himself to be a terrible, but dedicated, golfer.

Antaramian Properties LLC, 2013, in which Hahn Loeser successfully represented the company, wiping out a counterclaim for $32 million and validating it as owners and holders of a valid and enforceable note and first mortgage lien on Naples Bay resort in excess of $50 million.
