Jamie B. Schwinghamer, a litigation attorney in the Naples office of Hahn Loeser & Parks LLP, has been appointed Secretary of the Executive Board for the Guardian ad Litem Foundation - 20th Judicial Circuit, Inc. (formerly known as Voices for Kids of Southwest Florida, Inc.). Ms. Schwinghamer concentrates her practice in the areas of probate, trust, guardianship and complex commercial litigation. The Guardian ad Litem program recruits and trains volunteer child advocates to represent abused, neglected and abandoned children in court, school, the child welfare system and the community. Through the court system, these children are placed in a foster home or a relative’s home. Guardian ad Litem teams strive to monitor and advocate for the child’s safety, educational, health and social needs, and to represent their best interests throughout the duration of an open case and until a safe, stable and permanent placement can be achieved. Ms. Schwinghamer provides public and private sector clients with strategic counseling, business, and legal advice on a variety of matters including, but not limited to: will and trust contests, disputed estate and trust administrations, trust modification, revocation and termination, surcharge and removal proceedings, guardianship litigation, commercial, real estate and construction contracts, business transactions, business torts, shareholder and partnership disputes and appeals.
