On November 13, 2007, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals held that “Chewy Vuiton” plush dog toys sold by Haute Diggity Dog were successful parodies that did not infringe or dilute the famous LOUIS VUITTON trademarks or trade dress. Louis Vuitton Malletier S.A. v. Haute Diggity Dog, LLC, 507 F.3d 252 (4th Cir. 2007).
